When owners, Christopher and Mollie (AKA Mollie Goose), returned to Indianapolis they realized that what they would miss most about Chicago wasn’t the city lights, cement dog parks or the peaceful nights under the El. It was the neighborhood markets. Whether it be Dirks Fish Market, the Asian market, Green City Market, Bari or Mollies’ favorite, the meat market. There was going to be void in their omnivorous habits.
So we’ve gone old school in an old school Indy neighborhood. This is a neighborhood market in the heart of Fall Creek Place where we reside above the market right on the corner of 25th and Delaware. From the minute you step foot on the Goose you’ll know that your dealing with people who care about their food, the producers, the hood and most of all you.
We procure Indiana’s finest dry-aged beef from our friends at Fischer Farms in southern Indiana. Free range chickens, wild turkeys, plump ducks and the all mighty king of meats, pork are brought in from Gunthorp Farms in northern Indiana. We offer the most succulent lamb from Viking Lamb in western Indiana. Local natural and seasonal produce are sought after when available. We offer artisan breads and farm fresh cheese, an assortment of olives, fresh herbs and spices, grains and an Italian- and French-inspired specialty dry goods selection. Our meaty wines are some of the top-rated best buys. We also produce our own house specialty items, including our hand-crafted charcuterie, family gelato, marinades, salad dressings, spice rubs and sauces.
