The ideal candidate is passionate about great food and drink, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working face-to-face with customers. Prioritizing Goose guests’ experiences is a must, as is working as part of a tight knit team who help each other. Prior experience is a plus but not required, and on-the-job training is provided.
Pay starts at $15/hour (increase available based on experience) plus tips which average an additional $5-$7+ per hour. This part-time position means working Saturday + Sunday daytime shifts (keep in mind Goose closes at 6pm on weekends) and some weekday evening shifts (keep in mind Goose closes at 7pm on weekdays). Opportunities for advancement and increased hours are available.
The Meat Monger / Butcher cuts raw proteins like pork, poultry, seafood, and beef to order in front of customers. They make sausages, run the smoker, create spice rubs + marinades, help guests with cooking + pairing suggestions, and more. They work directly with customers, arrange beautiful charcuterie boards, create appealing case displays, and assist in other food preparation. Doing dishes, cleaning cases, mopping floors, and more are all part of maintaining Goose’s high standards for organization and cleanliness.
On-the-job training is provided, and those with prior culinary and/or butchering experience are encouraged to apply.
